Grand Prix rider to Conduct Equestrian Training for Some Lucky Campers at Nashoba North This Summer

Camp Nashoba North is thrilled to announce that Tricia O’Connor, a Grand Prix rider will be conducting equestrian training clinics for enrolled campers at Nashoba North this summer.

It’s that time of year to start locking in spaces for your children to attend the summer camp of choice. Lucky campers at Camp Nashoba North in Southern Maine who choose to participate in the riding program will be treated to equestrian training clinics conducted by Grand Prix rider Tricia O’Connor.

Tricia is an accomplished rider and coach who has competed in Grand Prix classics in Germany, the East Coast and Mid West in the United States. As a two-time North America Young Rider and Olympic Festival competitor, Tricia will bring insights to Nashoba North’s developing riders. No stranger herself to the winner’s circle, Tricia has successfully coached junior and amateur riders in the Equitation, Hunter and Jumper Finals.

Camp Nashoba North is widely recognized as having one of New England’s premier riding programs for boys and girls ages 7 to 17, uniquely set within a traditional overnight camp. English riders of all levels may participate in Nashoba North’s riding program. Horse care and stable management lectures are available daily with a hands-on focus to educating young riders.

The goal at the camp is to offer a sense of adventure and the opportunity for personal growth and self-exploration for all campers. They participate equally in an independent choice program that includes waterskiing, wakeboarding, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, soccer, tennis, golf, basketball, baseball, performing and creative arts, pottery, photography, rock climbing, archery, cooking, guitar, drums, hiking and much more.

Nashoba North’s camper and staff come from across the United States and many countries around the world. The staff is comprised of a diverse group with ages ranging from 19-35, all of whom are passionate about working with children and have an expertise in their activity area. Many staff members are teachers and graduate students. The camper to staff ratio is 3:1.

Camp Nashoba North is located 2 hours north of Boston in southern Maine. It is nestled on 95 acres of pine wood forests and athletic fields on the shores of beautiful Crescent Lake. Campers attend for 2, 4, or 8 weeks and riders can also opt to participate in two 1-week intensive riding program. Nashoba North is privately owned by the Seaward family and is accredited by the American Camp Association. The Seaward family has a long history in the camping industry and has owned and directed summer camps for over 50 years.
