What started out as a spare time project has grown into a passion for two young men from Newfoundland. Adam Puddicombe and Matthew Ryder, the developers behind www.angryfans.ca, have seen their business grow significantly in the past few months. With the launch of the website back in Auguest, 2009, they knew the website had potential, however they did not think it would grow so quickly.
Since it began, the site has seen an incredible increase in traffic from around the globe. They now have six writers posting weekly articles for the website, and many other freelancers hoping to join the list.
With a growing fanbase, the duo decided to redesign the website in hopes of making it more interactive for their users. The newly designed homepage is very easy to navigate and makes it easy on users to find what they are looking for.
However, this was only the tip of the iceberg for angryfans.ca. The new weekly podcast has turned into a huge success and they have lined up some big personalities from around the sporting world to appear in the coming months. A weekly "Rydin' the Pine" segment has been added as well, which calls out an athlete that hasn't exactly exemplified professionalism in his sporting career over the past few years.
The addition of a daily picks section gives viewers a look at who the angryfans panel likes in the games for the current day. With specialists in each major sport, they provide insight into why they feel the chosen team will come out on top.
Finally, a forum was launched to allow fans to rant about the goings-on in the world of sports. This allows users to interact with one another and share their thoughts. They have seen a great response to the forum and hope to see an increase in users during the coming months
Angryfans.ca has many things in the works and look for this site to continue to grow globally.
