Unlike the traditionally vibratory feeders, the Heavy Duty FT-15 Centrifugal Feeder offers reduced noise output, smooth operation, extremely accurate operational tolerances, and easily handles multiple sizes of parts with minor change over and no reduction in feed rat.
Online PR News – 22-November-2012 – Elkwood, Virginia – SHIBUYA HOPPMANN CORPORATION, a member of the Shibuya Group, is proud to announce the launch of their new Specialty Centrifugal Feeder, the Hoppmann Heavy Duty FT-15 centrifugal feeder (patent pending). This new feeder is engineered to handle small, metal parts traditionally oriented in vibratory feeders and manufactured in the United States.
“Our customers wanted a quieter, gentler means to handle their heavy duty parts: screws, bolts, washers, fasteners, and the like. They also wanted the rugged dependability of a Hoppmann Centrifugal feeder. We designed and manufactured this machine specifically for them,” said the Executive Vice President of Sales for Shibuya Hoppmann, Gary Marsh.
The FT-15-HD offers greatly reduced noise output and smooth operation in comparison to a vibratory feeder, extremely accurate operational tolerances, and easily handles multiple sizes of parts with minor change over and no reduction in feed rate. Designed on the same premise as our standard centrifugal feeder, the Heavy Duty feeder uses motors for speed, not springs and vibrators, which limits maintenance (retuning) and replacement requirements.
The FT-15 HD has an all stainless steel exterior construction, an adjustable tooling frame, a ball bearing spindle, and a Poly-V belt drive system. The new feeder also showcases a polyurethane hybrid bowl and disc.
