Free Parent Support Workshop Hosted by Sharing Down Syndrome Arizona
Online PR News – 31-March-2010 – – Mesa, Arizona March 29, 2010 - Sharing Down Syndrome Arizona is proud to host Dr. Pamela Murphy, M.D. a Phoenix mother and pediatrician who specializes in treating children with special needs to speak to parents about the birds and the bees and how it affects our children.

This special workshop is free to the public, however you must RSVP to reserve a space. Reservations can be made via email to Rachel@sharingds.org.
As president of the Special Education Parents Advisory Council (SEPAC) in Scottsdale, Dr. Murphy teaches parents how to educate their children during this important developmental stage. She will also answer participant questions and concerns.
The first 25 families that RSVP to Sharing Down Syndrome Arizona via email (Rachel@sharingds.org), and attend the meeting, will be given the book, Teaching Children with Down Syndrome about Their Bodies, Boundaries, and Sexuality. A Guide for Parents and Professionals by Terri Couwenhoven.

Gina Johnson founded Sharing Down Syndrome Arizona over 18 years ago to provide emotional support for families of children with Down syndrome because of her experience as a new parent of a baby with Down syndrome.
It currently provides services to families throughout Arizona by providing new parent dinners, parent support groups, new parent gift baskets, play groups, educational meetings, bereavement support groups and more.
