Small Business Saturday, Mystery Extravaganza, & Jewelry at One More Page Books this Holiday Season

Local Arlington, VA, independent bookstore launches a festive holiday event schedule that includes tastings, special holiday shopping events, author talks, and book club discussions.

Online PR News – 21-November-2012 – Arlington, VA – One More Page Books, an independent, neighborhood-oriented bookstore, introduces a 2012 holiday season filled with tastings, author talks, holiday shopping specials and book club discussions. All events are free and open to the public.

On Saturday, November 24th from 10 am – 8 pm, One More Page participates in Small Business Saturday, an annual holiday shopping event that encourages customers to shop locally during one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year. One More Page offers special sales all day and unveils its new line of Kobo electronic readers.

The store hosts a Mystery Extravaganza with the Chesapeake Chapter of Sisters in Crime. More than 16 local mystery authors will be present on Saturday, December 1st at 1 pm, to talk about and sign their books. The event will be held next door to the store in the WestLee reception area.

Nathan Kotecki visits on Sunday, December 2nd at 4 pm to talk about his new Young Adult book, "The Suburban Strange."

One More Page hosts a Sparkling Wine and Jewelry Evening on Wednesday, December 5th at 6:30 pm. Customers can taste several sparkling wines while browsing jewelry from Stella and Dot.

On Thursday, December 6th at 7 pm, economist and author Charles Kenny visits the store to talk about his new book, "Getting Better: Why Global Development is Succeeding, and How We Can Improve the World Even More."

Chef Matt Finarelli returns to One More Page on Wednesday, December 12th at 7 pm, to share more delicious recipes from "Beyond the Red Sauce," his refreshing take on Italian Cuisine.

The One More Page Book Fiction Club meets on Tuesday, December 4th at 7 pm to discuss The Rules of Civility by Amor Towles. The Daytime Book Club chats about The Sense of an Ending by Julian Barnes on Friday, December 14th at 11 am. On Tuesday, December 18th at 7 pm, the Mystery/Suspense Book Club discusses Gaudy Night, the third book in the Lord Peter Wimsey Mystery series by Dorothy L. Sayers.
