Shows sells out in Vancouver on Farewell tour

Vancouver’s packed houses are a wonderful send off for The Number 14 as it moves to Ottawa on the next stop on its farewell tour. The wacky, zany, side-splitting world-renowned show The Number 14 has been a resounding success in Vancouver; a sold out run! Because of the demand an extra evening show has been added on Sunday, Nov. 18th at 7:30pm at the Waterfront Theatre at 1410 Cartwright St. on Granville Island.
It’s been quite a ride!!! Celebrating its 20th anniversary, The Number 14 is a Canadian success story extraordinaire! In its 20 years, The Number 14 has garnered international attention including two successful runs on Broadway, a 1998 New York Drama Desk nomination in the Unique Theatrical Experience category and has garnered four Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards, and a Dora Mavor Moore nomination.
The Number 14’s director, Wayne Specht said, “Once again Vancouver audiences have climbed on board the little bus that could. We are so pleased that the show has played in Vancouver a total of 16 months in our 20 year journey around the world.”
The Number 14 originated in Vancouver as the brainchild of Axis Theatre Company’s founding Artistic Director Wayne Specht along with Original Director Roy Surette. Stemming from a series of improvisational skits and showcasing the talents of some of Vancouver’s most loved physical theatre performers, this slice of urban city life has been wowing audiences around the world since its debut in 1992.
