Bahrain’s biggest speaking forum set

Toastmasters International’s BTAC-K to make waves in Bahrain in April. Over 500 participants expected to attend the biggest speaking forum on the island.

Online PR News – 29-March-2010 – – Over 500 Toastmasters from a total of 24 Toastmasters clubs around the island will converge in what will be one of the biggest speaking forums in the country.

The Bahrain Toastmasters Annual Conference (BTAC-K) is scheduled to be held on Friday, 16th of April 2010 at the Bahrain Society of Engineers in Juffair. The conference is spearheaded by Division K, which is part of District 79 (Middle East District as identified by Toastmasters International).

In line with the Toastmasters tradition, BTAC-K will feature contestants battling it out in four main categories: the Evaluation, Humorous, Table Topics and International Speech Contests.

The participants are existing champions from their own clubs and areas where they battle each other for the coveted title of “BTAC -K Champion” in each of the categories. The “BTAC-K Champions” will later go forward to the District Toastmasters Annual Conference (DTAC) which will be held in Kuwait, from the 20th to the 22nd of May.

Toastmasters have helped more than 4 million men and women overcome their fear of public speaking, moulding them into better speakers and communicators,” says Division K Governor, DTM Alex Ginete, one of the event organisers.

“Running in its 3rd year, the BTAC- K will continue the Toastmasters’ grand tradition by featuring educational programs in communication and on leadership.
