State College Ford Hosts “Go Further with Ford Night” Charity Fundraiser

“Go Further with Ford Night,” the final segment in Ford’s “Random Acts of Fusion” transmedia marketing program, will take place at State College Ford, on November 15.

Online PR News – 08-November-2012 – State College, PA – “Go Further with Ford Night” is a one-night only event that will unite Ford dealerships across the country, including State College Ford in State College, Pennsylvania, for an opportunity to raise money for local charities and reward loyal customers. At State College, all the money raised will be donated to the Bestwick Foundation to Help Fight Cancer. The event takes place on November 15, a Thursday, from 4 to 8 pm with delicious food catered by Dan Rallis. This event will bring Ford’s “Random Acts of Fusion” transmedia marketing program to completion. Ryan Seacrest, the host of the program, has helped Ford to create a whopping 12 million plus customer engagements with the all-new 2013 Ford Fusion.

“Random Acts of Fusion has captured America’s imagination. Go Further with Ford Night is our way of pairing that imagination with reality by offering consumers the chance to give back to their local communities, have a lot of fun, enjoy the final random act—which will test their judging skills to win a unique VIP American Idol experience—and meet the all-new Ford Fusion in person,” said Lew Echlin, Fusion Marketing manager.

For every registered visitor, State College Ford will donate $10 (up to $500), and Ford will match it! The event will be catered and will include one contest and two sweepstakes. The Guest Judge Experience contest winner will receive a special VIP experience with American Idol. To enter, visitors must record a “tryout” on a computer. This will consist of watching a special message from Ryan Seacrest. The message will test their judging abilities while a webcam monitors their reactions. Then, a team of experts back at Ford’s headquarters will select the winner.

To enter the Tickets to an American Idol Taping sweepstakes, visitors must pre-register online at Two different winners will be selected to be flown out to L.A. and see a live recording of American Idol. The other sweepstakes—the 2013 Ford Fusion Giveaway—will have one winner. Visitors are entered when they register and subsequently attend State College Ford on November 15.

About the charity event, Echlin added, “We all want to be part of something bigger. This is a great way for our customers to go further with Ford and our dealers, and to give something back to their local communities.”
