Not even being run over by a truck can keep this talented singer/songwriter down. Visit IndieGoGo.com and help fund Dylan Lock’s debut music video and maybe even land one of the offered roles in the video

Online PR News – 04-November-2012 – Midland Ontario – Dylan Lock is living proof of the power of positive thinking. The twenty-two year old Midland resident with a lifelong love of music began playing keyboard nearly 10 years ago and despite some obstacles--including a horrific bike accident--has matured as a musician and developed an admiring fan base.

Dylan says, "I got hit by a truck on October 31st, Halloween day. I was biking home from work and a truck t-boned me."
Lock's bike ended up fifty feet away from the accident scene in multiple pieces but he landed flat on the ground under the truck parallel to the truck's wheels. He says "The truck ran right over me; I could feel the underside brush my hair, and if I was a few inches either way a wheel would have hit me. I am so lucky, the doctors were telling me to get a lottery ticket but I've already got my fingers (to play piano). I've already won the lottery." Lock still has scars from the crash but miraculously didn't suffer any major injuries.
Dylan was born in Newmarket, Ontario and moved north to Victoria Harbour when he was nine years old. He received his first keyboard when he was 12 and learned to play by ear.

Lock says, "I was always just drawn to music. Music is a great way to express yourself, you build up all these emotions inside and you can release them in a simple song, even if you're just listening to a song." As Dylan says, “ I was born to sing and play.”
Dylan also competed in Penetang Idol during the recent Winterama and placed first for his rendition of Midnight Special by Creedence Clearwater Revival.
Locke lists classic rock and blues singers and songwriters as huge influences and he counts Queen, Burton Cummings, Elton John and the Beatles among his major influences.
Dylan describes his original music as a mix of classic blues and rock with a modern twist thrown in to keep it relevant to the new listeners.
Currently recording an album, Locke looks forward to sharing and expressing the same energy he has embraced through the art of music.
Support Dylan’s project and show that dreams, combined with initiative and talent, do come true.
In order to realize his vision of producing his first music video, Dylan needs to hire a Production Company and that is why his IndieGoGo campaign is so important.
