Publisher sets new company record.
Online PR News – 03-November-2012 – New York, Toronto – November 2, 2012 – Harlequin is celebrating a company-record showing on the upcoming New York Times bestseller list (November 11, 2012). The renowned publisher occupies six of the top ten spots on the New York Times’ Mass Market Fiction Bestseller List, including the top two positions with Robyn Carr’s MY KIND OF CHRISTMAS (#1) and Diana Palmer’s WYOMING FIERCE (#2).
In addition to controlling 60% of the top ten list, a further six Harlequin authors also stormed the publishing industry’s most prestigious list, including two spots in the top 20 and four more in the top 35. All told, Harlequin occupied 12 of the bestseller list’s top 35 positions or 34% of the list.
The New York Times is not the only bestseller list dominated by Harlequin this week. The USA TODAY bestseller list also sported five Harlequin titles in their top 30 books. USA TODAY's Best-Selling Books list ranks the top selling titles each week, regardless of format, based on an analysis of sales from booksellers and is considered a critical list by publishers and authors alike.
“We are thrilled to have had such a commanding week on the bestseller lists,” said Loriana Sacilotto, Executive Vice President of Global Editorial for Harlequin. “Not only does this demonstrate our ability to take great stories and get them into the hands of readers, but it also illustrates the power of the Harlequin brand.”
To date, 106 Harlequin titles have enjoyed a total of 747 weeks on the New York Times, USA TODAY and Publishers Weekly bestsellers lists in 2012.
