Online PR News – 03-November-2012 – Schaumburg, IL – Friday, October 19, 2012

The 6 new TESOL graduates were awarded their TESOL certificates at a ceremony Friday, October 19, 2012 at the Sea English Academy office.

TESOL certification allows individuals to teach English abroad or domestically.

After having completed the 4 week TESOL curriculum and 2 weeks of practicum teaching in the community, 3 of the 6 graduates plan to teach English abroad, primarily in Asia and 3 plan to seek employment domestically.

“In this challenging job environment, many high school and college graduates are left with a diploma or degree and nothing else. Sea English Academy is a great ‘Plan B’ for those seeking employment. And who wouldn't want to travel the world and get paid!” says Mira Benjamin, Business Development Director. She adds that it is not necessary to speak a foreign language to be TESOL certified, since teaching English is done through complete immersion, in that English is the only language spoken during lessons. It is also not necessary to possess a college degree, although the salary for degreed TESOL teachers is significantly higher.

The English language is one of the most in demand commodities of our generation. It is the language of business, government, science, politics, computing, medicine, tourism, hospitality, aviation and law. Currently there are an estimated 2 billion students learning English worldwide.

According to Cambridge Encyclopedia of Languages, there has never been a language spoken by so many people in so many places in the history of the world. More than half of the world’s business deals are conducted in English. Eighty percent of the world’s Internet and email is in English.

This enormous market has created an unprecedented demand for English Language institutes and teachers.
