Desigual presents its S/S 2013 Collection La Vida es Chula “Sex, Fun and Love” at the International TFWA exhibition in Cannes. The company aims to finish 2012 with 60 points of sale in 35 of the world’s best airports.
Online PR News – 01-November-2012 – New York – Desigual will present its new designs for the S/S 2013 season at this year’s TFWA (Tax Free World Association) exhibition which will be held from 21st to 26th October at the Palace of Festivals and Congress Hall in Cannes. The international exhibition will bring together all the major worldwide operators, importers, distributors and suppliers from the duty free and travel retail industry. Desigual will attend once again following the positive experience of last year’s event in Singapore.
With the collection “LA VIDA ES CHULA. SEX, FUN & LOVE” Desigual takes inspiration from its heritage and trends, diving head first into the origins of the brand and its DNA so that everyone can get to know its classic slogans and icons. And at the same time, we bring them closer to the styles marking current fashion, for a trendier collection. We then started using the slogan “LA VIDA ES CHULA” again, a broad concept that includes all collections and the slogan which was our inspiration this season. In summer 2013 we’ll all be wearing SEX, FUN AND LOVE.
The company continues to be fully committed to international expansion and aims to finish the year with 60 points of sale in 35 of the world’s best airports. Desigual is currently in the busiest airports such as: Barcelona, Madrid, Ibiza, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Munich, Dallas, Houston, Miami and New York. Desigual plans to open its first retail corner specialising in accessories and shoes in Tenerife airport in November. Furthermore, Desigual will open a store in Milan railway station at the end of 2012, making it the sixth in an Italian station. Following our success in Ezeiza airport in Argentina, we plan to open new stores in Iguazú, Kuala Lumpur and Manila within the next six months.
Desigual has signed different agreements for the in-flight sale of its Travel Wallet with airlines like Alitalia, Iberia, Scandinavian Airlines, Philippines Airlines and by the end of the year others like American Airlines, Jetstar Asia and Tiger Airways will join the list.
In Desigual airport stores, travellers can find a wide selection of Desigual women's clothing and accessories. Desigual is introducing a new purses and scarves concept, having studied their functionality. The collection is now much richer as a result. There are more classic styles which have been updated, like the travel wallet, which is offered exclusively as part of our travel retail range. The fashion brand will present a pack developed especially for this retail channel during the TFWA exhibition. It includes two exclusive shawls for women.
Desigual is characterised by its different, optimistic and colourful designs. The company began trading in 1984 using the slogan: ‘Desigual is not the same’. The company currently has a workforce of over 3500 people representing 85 different nationalities.
