Gourmet Settings, a flatware company that specializes in beautiful, everyday flatware patterns recently unveiled two new options. The patterns, Twirl and Seashell, are part of the handmade flatware line.
Online PR News – 19-February-2009 – – RICHMOND HILL, ON - Gourmet Settings, a Canadian-based company, announced it has unveiled two new flatware patterns, Twirl and Seashell.
Gourmet Settings designs its flatware with function in mind -- while still focusing on the beauty of each flatware piece. The Twirl and Seashell flatware designs come in a 20-piece set, with four salad forks, dinner forks, dinner knives, tablespoons and teaspoons.
Each set is made from 18/10 heat-forged stainless steel, comes with a 25-year warranty and is dishwasher safe for customer convenience. Twirl is inspired by the Garden of Eden and 17th century French country cutlery, while Seashell is inspired by the shape of individual shells from the ocean. The two designs are the first of 15 new handmade flatware patterns.
"We always say flatware is like a really great haircut -- you won't know how good it is until you feel it. We all use stainless steel flatware every day of the year, three times a day. There's no reason that it shouldn't be fun to use and look at. Most people don't think about the curve knives, forks and spoons need in order to scoop food, but we do -- and that's the difference in our flatware sets. Our flatware pieces are known for their beauty, but we know first and foremost they have to work well," said Hildy Abrams, president of Gourmet Settings (http://www.gourmetsettings.com/).
In addition to everyday flatware patterns, Gourmet Settings also designs restaurant flatware, steak knife sets and serving pieces. The company has been in business since 1994 and focuses its efforts on customer service. The flatware sets are available at retailers across the country such as Costco, Bed Bath & Beyond and Target. In addition to flatware, Gourmet Settings is known for its innovative packaging and has been featured in publications like Good Housekeeping, the Washington Post and O, The Oprah Magazine and television shows like Hell's Kitchen with Chef Gordon Ramsay and Kitchen Confidential.
"In addition to focusing on the function and design of our pieces, we also strive towards excellent customer service. Each of the emails we receive is answered personally and customers find it easy to talk to a real person if they call our 800 number. It's just another way we try to make our company stand out," said Abrams.
