TEFL England has announced a huge number of opportunities abroad for those interested in teaching English as a foreign language.
Online PR News – 31-October-2012 – London – TEFL England has announced that it is currently listing over 150 jobs on the TEFL England Jobs Centre, and new jobs are being added all the time.
TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) is an increasingly popular travel and work opportunity, providing people with important skills in presenting, English grammar, teaching styles and approaches and classroom management in order to make them an effective English language teacher. Each year thousands of people move abroad to teach English and the worldwide demand for TEFL teachers is continually growing.
TEFL England is a training organisation which works with top employers throughout Asia, Africa, Europe, Central and South America and even in the UK. Co-founder Joe Hallwood said:
“The number and variety of opportunities with a TEFL qualification are increasing worldwide. It’s an option for young and old, and after years of teaching abroad myself I can safely say it’s a terrific one at that. We’re immensely proud to be helping people embark on life changing adventures overseas where they can undergo vast self-development, make a real difference to their students and earn money at the same time.”
At the moment there is a continuous supply of TEFL jobs that need filled, and with continuous growth in the industry the future holds nothing but promise for those who become qualified. One young graduate from Leicestershire named Amy abandoned all future plans after getting her TEFL certificate and moved to South Korea where she’s been teaching for the past year. She said:
“A week after my graduation I had dropped the bombshell on my parents that actually I wouldn’t be moving to London, working in a graduate scheme and joining the daily grind and that I would instead be moving to South Korea. I was offered a job teaching English in Incheon and by the end of the summer I was saying my goodbyes and hopping on a plane to the other side of the world. Best decision I ever made.”
Although the UK has seen unemployment levels drop recently from 8.1% to 7.9% these figures are largely driven by a sharp rise in part—time workers . There are still many people out of full-time work who are not aware of alternative employment opportunities open to them.
TEFL is something many may think is for qualified teachers, degree holders or those with experience and in a lot of cases this isn’t true. To enrol on a TEFL course you don’t need any qualifications, only the ability to speak English. This is a work and work experience alternative that people are simply not aware of and TEFL England courses are the most highly accredited in the UK, so the qualification you will receive is widely renowned.
Many countries see learning the English language as key in their international development. Their economies, educational opportunities and global presence can all see a boost in learning English, and so the demand for native English speakers is high worldwide. This is something that many can take advantage of. Not just for self-development, to earn money and to gain valuable work experience but also in making a difference to the progress of non-English speakers everywhere.
