Online PR News – 31-October-2012 – Dorset – Hoburne Holiday Parks has been shortlisted in the prestigious British Travel Awards (BTAs); the most sought after travel and tourism accolades in the UK.
The Dorset-based family business is a finalist in the Best UK Holiday Park Operator category, selected alongside big national names.
Hoburne’s chairman, Rosie Kennar, said: “We are having the most incredible year to mark our centenary. We started 2012 as the KPMG Company of the Year in the Dorset Business Awards; we have seen booking figures continue to rise and are soon to unveil impressive new luxury accommodation following a substantial investment programme. We are very fortunate to have an army of very loyal guests who stay with us year after year and have been doing so for generations. We now need them and all our suppliers and partners to vote so our achievements over the past 100 years can be recognised at the highest level.”
Chief executive of the BTAs, Lorraine Barnes Burton, added: “Hoburne is to be congratulated on reaching the finals. The largest consumer voted awards programme in the UK, the BTAs are designed to reward the best companies in travel, and the winning accolade is the benchmark for excellence when it comes to finding out who really is the best in the business of travel for the UK consumer.”
All companies entered were put before a panel of industry professionals, who whittled the list down to the final nominees in each category ahead of a public vote.
Voting opens tomorrow (Friday June15) and closes at the end of September. To cast your vote for Hoburne visit www.hoburne.com
