The latest release from Sony Ericsson's Xperia range has now been launched on Vodafone, the Sony Ericsson X10 can now be connected to a good range of third party Vodafone pay monthly contract deals.
Online PR News – 25-March-2010 – – The network roll-out for the new Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 continue at pace with another new partner in Vodafone, originally launched on T-Mobile and O2 this latest network launch further expands the volume of tariffs and offers available to consumers looking to get the cheapest deal possible.
The Sony Ericsson X10 on Vodafone is the same phone found on other networks with no difference in specifications or features, still present is the powerful Qualcomm 1GHz processor, 8 mega pixel camera and 4 inch touch screen all of which set this latest Android phone apart from the competition.
The largest screen to date running the Android operating system is at 3.7 inches and is found on both the HTC Desire and Nexus One Google phone, both of these competitors also run on a similar 1GHz processor and although offer an AMOLED touch screen display are beaten by the massive screen of the X10.
The 8 mega pixel camera is the most advanced to be found in any other Android device, the closest currently available is at 5.0 mega pixels and is present in the HTC Legend, Desire, Google Nexus One, Motorola Milestone and Acer Liquid handsets.
A new addition to the features of this new handset is an application called Timescape, this clever feature pools together information from the users friends and shows it in one continuous stream, this includes status updates on social networking websites such as Facebook, tweets via Twitter, received and sent text messages for tracking previous conversations and email.
There are not many mobile phones from other manufacturers able to compete against this latest Sony Ericsson release, although some do offer added features such as the Motorola Milestone with a slide out physical keyboard also found on the slightly more affordable LG GW620, none are quite as feature rich as the Xperia X10.
There is one more network operator who has already confirmed the release of the Sony Ericsson X10 and that is Orange who are looking to launch this powerful new Android phone over the next few days. This just leaves the dedicated 3G network, 3 Mobile and Virgin Mobile to confirm they will be stocking the X10.
Sony Ericsson also have two more planned releases of new Android powered handsets due for launch in April this year, these are the Xperia X10 Mini and Mini Pro editions which are miniaturised versions of the latest X10 model but with very similar feature sets. The Mini Pro even goes as far as incorporating a full slide out Qwerty keyboard or those that prefer to push physical buttons when entering text.
