Online PR News – 27-October-2012 – New York, NY – Chef Ryan Hardy and Co-Sommeliers Jordan Salcito and Robert Bohr are opening a restaurant in a low-rise tenement on the corner of King Street and Sixth Avenue. The 60-seat space will fuse brick with industrial art inspired by its neighborhood where SoHo meets Greenwich Village. The menu will be local and organic: Italian influenced, American executed and entirely New York City where Marlon Brando and Basquiat meet hip-hop, Burgundian wine and soulful food. A 50-seat patio with lush vegetation will spill onto the sidewalk giving way to a side entrance providing access to an intimate, hidden dining room.
Ryan, a four-time James Beard Best Chef Finalist and former chef at The Little Nell is bringing his passion for making cheese, curing meats, digging for clams, diving for urchin, and farming to diners in NYC. The wine list, compiled by prominent wife-husband team Jordan, Founder and Producer of Bellus Wines and Robert, Wine Maker and Founder of Grand Cru Wine Consulting, will highlight the most interesting bottles crafted by artisans around the world. The Co-somms are envisioning a ‘she said, he said’ anthology based on their combined experiences at some of NY’s best wine programs including Eleven Madison Park, Cru, The Crown, Daniel and Babbo.
