Deborah A. Bacon, CPA Joins Firm to Oversee Assurance Practice

Online PR News – 26-October-2012 – October 24, 2012 Philadelphia, PA – Deborah A. Bacon, CPA has been named a Principal at Milligan & Company. She assumes primary responsibility for overseeing the firm’s Assurance Practice.

Prior to joining Milligan, Ms. Bacon was a Principal with Goldenberg Rosenthal, LLC (now EisnerAmper) and a Senior Manager with BDO USA.

Ms. Bacon has provided auditing, accounting, and tax consulting and advisory services to not-for-profit organizations, manufacturing and distribution businesses, governmental agencies, retail, and insurance and mortgage companies for more than 25 years. Her specialized expertise includes auditing not-for-profit organizations and governmental units in accordance with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-133,Government Auditing Standards, issued by the Comptroller General of the United States, PA Department of Public Welfare, City of Philadelphia, and other federal, state, and local governmental agencies.

Ms. Bacon received the Certificate of Educational Achievement in Not-for-Profit and Governmental Accounting and Auditing from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and serves on the PA Institute of CPAs (PICPA) Not-for-Profit Committee. She serves on not-for-profit boards of directors, audit and finance committees, and advisory boards. She holds a B.S. in Accounting from Villanova University.
