Pune preschoolers paint cards, raise funds for charity

Children at Leapbridge International Pre-School experience joy of giving by planning Diwali treat for less privileged children

Online PR News – 25-October-2012 – Pune – It is seldom that one would expect a preschool to teach moral value of empathy for others to its little learners, as young as 18 months. In its initiative to help the needy and less privileged children, Leapbridge International Pre-School had organized an event with the help of its children which saw a tremendous support from the parents.

Explaining the purpose of this event, Ms. Prriety Gosalia, COO & Chief Academics - Leapbridge Education, said that it was to celebrate Mothers' Day by making a difference to someone. "The mothers at our preschools have been very supportive towards this cause; and their enthusiasm has resulted in raising a substantial fund for the charity purpose," said Ms. Gosalia.

Every child at Leapbridge in the age group of 18 months to 5 years, made hand print Diwali cards which were exhibited at school on 19th October. "We were preparing for this event since last month and gradually explained our children the moral values like sharing, caring and empathizing," added Ms. Gosalia.

Apart from the social cause, this event had plenty of fun and jubilation as mothers and children enthusiastically participated in this themed event. Teachers and mothers also had interactive sessions about child's progress and some parenting tips. "Today, our children at Leapbridge had the best of both the world - mother and teacher," concluded Ms. Gosalia.
