LKS Originals will be showcased and gifted to the biggest names in Country Music backstage at The 46th Annual CMA Awards taking place October 29 – November 1, 2012 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN.

Online PR News – 23-October-2012 – Thorton, Colorado – LKS Originals ( in association with The Artisan Group will participate in the official celebrity gift lounge in honor of The 46th Annual CMA Awards on October 29 – November 1, 2012 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

LKS Originals will have a turquoise and sterling silver multi-strand necklace and bracelet showcased on display at The Artisan Group’s exhibit and its silver and gemstone wire wrapped dangle earrings will be gifted to the biggest names in country music backstage at The Awards. This event will also be attended by over 25 media and press outlets.

Lisa Smith, owner/designer at LKS Originals, specializes in handcrafted, one-of-a-kind statement jewelry incorporating natural gemstones, beading, wire-wrapping and resin work. For The CMA Awards display piece, Smith designed a one-of-a-kind multi-strand turquoise and silver statement necklace, with gemstone and silver wire wrapped dangle earrings for the gift bags.

"For The CMA Awards, I wanted to design pieces incorporating sterling silver and my favorite gemstone, which is turquoise," said Smith. "I also love the layered Boho look and decided putting it all together would be the perfect way to capture the Nashville vibe."

Smith is a long-time fan of country music, so when The Artisan Group approached her about participating in The CMA Awards, she was on board immediately. “I knew that it would be a lot of work to create 85 pairs of earrings plus the display piece but I confess to occasionally daydreaming of Carrie Underwood rocking my jewelry, so how could I turn it down?” laughed Smith. “Seriously though, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of country music’s biggest event of the year and I’m beyond thrilled to be included.”

I also love the layered Boho look and decided putting it all together would be the perfect way to capture the Nashville vibe.

Smith notes that the overall gifting process went smoothly thanks to the efforts of Valerie Guerrero, founder of California-based The Artisan Group. There was a tiny bump in the road as Smith strove to source enough gemstones in the colors and shapes she desired to make the earrings, but it all worked out in the end. “It’s easy to find the exact size, shape and color you want when it’s just a few pieces,” smiled Smith. “But multiplied by 85 it was a whole different story.”

The CMA Awards gifting was also a testament to Smith’s wire-wrapping expertise since, as Smith noted, “It took a lot of effort and control to make the same pair of earrings 85 times.”

Smith recently participated at GBK’s Luxury Gift Lounge for the 2012 Primetime Emmys, where she snagged a photo of Nia Peeples rocking her silver, turquoise and Orgone Energy jewelry set. Ms. Peeples will also be seen wearing Smith’s jewelry in Episode 317 of ABC Family’s popular television show, Pretty Little Liars. Smith has designed jewelry for other celebrities as well, including Khloe Kardashian, Tyra Banks and Amy Poehler. Smith recently sent a pair of blood red crystal chandelier earrings to the stylist for ABC Family's The Vampire Diaries and is awaiting word on whether they will be worn on an upcoming episode.

Smith creates her LKS Originals jewelry out of her home studio in Colorado, where nature, her stash of gemstones and current fashion trends inspire her. She is also known for her work with polymer clay and enjoys creating mosaics, although these are not for sale. Smith is a member of The Artisan Group, an exclusive group of artisans who collaborate to provide handcrafted work at elite Hollywood events. LKS originals jewelry is available online at and, as well as at select art shows in the western region of the country.
