Second Unit Train Departure Temporarily Postponed Due to Mudslide Disrupting UP Service Lane

Online PR News – 23-October-2012 – ny – Second Unit Train Departure Temporarily Postponed Due to Mudslide Disrupting UP Service Lane

1st Unit Train on Schedule, “Priority As Usual”
-- February 18, 2008

Railex’s second bi-weekly unit train put on hold due to the mudslide that extensively damaged the Union Pacific mainline track south of Eugene, Oregon on January 19th.

Work conditions by the U.P. will continue over the next few months. The U.P. estimates 153,000 truckloads of downed trees, mud and snow to be removed from this lane to restore the track. At this point, due to track damage with this lane, Railex refrigerated produce solutions cannot schedule timely service departures and arrivals with the second unit train. Railex has opted to put the second train on hold until further notice.

Priority service with the first unit train will not be affected.
