Online PR News – 19-October-2012 – San Diego, CA – Furnishings and accessories from new model homes all over San Diego County will be available for sale to the public at deeply discounted prices during a one-day-only sale from
8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 at 2816 Historic Decatur Road in Point Loma’s Liberty Station.

Proceeds from the “Furniture Fantasy Sale” will benefit BIA Cares, the charitable foundation of the Building Industry Association of San Diego County. Displayed in a 19,000-square-foot warehouse space, donated by The Corky McMillin Companies, the Furniture Fantasy sale also includes office furniture, appliances, and construction and remodel supplies.

“The quality of our donations this year is higher than I’ve ever seen,” said building industry hall of famer and event chairperson Lora Heramb, now chairing her fourth Furniture Fantasy Sale. “For example, this year we are selling a baby grand piano, five finished granite slabs, dozens of custom windows and several hand made toy boxes for kids.”

Cash or credit (MC/Visa/Amex) only, and all sales are final. It is the buyers’ sole responsibility to pick up, load and remove all items purchased prior to the 2 p.m. close of the sale. Buyers must also provide any equipment and manpower needed to load and transport furnishings.

Among the homebuilders donating to the Furniture Fantasy: The Corky McMillin Companies, Pardee Homes, Brookfield Homes, Shea Homes, ColRich Residential, KB Home, Woodland Pacific, Lennar and Standard Pacific Homes. Several interior design firms and suppliers have also opened their warehouses to contribute to the sale. Those include Design Line Interiors, Design Squared Interiors, Blackbird Interiors, DalTile and Southwest Windows.

In the five-year history of the Furniture Fantasy, BIA Cares has raised and donated several hundred thousand dollars to local charities.
