You have to enter your login ID and password to get your scorecard. To see the merit list, click on the following link:
The exam was taken by 42,823 candidates.
AICTE mentions the scoring procedure as follows:
+4 marks for each correct answer
-1 mark for each wrong answer
0 mark for no answer
The merit ranking is based on the total score. In case scores are same for more than one candidate, the ranking is done on sectional score considered in the order of:
• Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
• Logical Reasoning
• Language Comprehension
• General Awareness
The candidates will be able to download the electronically generated score card with complete details using their login details from http://www.aicte-cmat.in from October 17 to November 17, 2012.
For the admission in the academic year 2013-15, candidates can also take CMAT January-February 2013. The best of the scores will be accepted by B-schools.
CMAT September 2012 scores would be accepted by more than 2,000 B-schools across India. Among the listed B-schools, the notable ones are: Great Lakes Institute of Management Chennai, Goa Institute of Management, We School Mumbai and Bangalore, IFIM Business School Bangalore, Jaipuria Institute of Management Noida, Lucknow & Jaipur, Asia Pacific Institute of Management Delhi, ITM Navi Mumbai and Bangalore, IILM New Delhi and Gurgaon.
The pattern and composition of the paper was not very different compared with the CMAT February 2012. Questions on critical reasoning and analytical reasoning dominated the paper and were slightly tricky.
Unlike CAT, students did not have to struggle with time management. Most of the candidates were able to complete the test in two-and-a-half hours and had enough time to try unanswered questions.
