Critical Issues Facing North American Transmission: A Three-Part Live Webcast Series

Online PR News – 11-October-2012 – Atlanta, GA – ScottMadden, Inc., one of North America’s leading energy consulting firms, is pleased to join forces with Energy Central’s TransmissionHub to provide an interactive webcast, “The Future of North American Transmission,” on Thursday October 25, 2012, from 12:00-1:00 PM EDT. This three-part series, Critical Issues Facing North American Transmission, will cover the most critical issues facing North American transmission.

This third and final webcast will feature Cristin Lyons, partner and transmission, distribution, and Smart Grid practice leader at ScottMadden. This one-hour session will focus on drivers influencing the future transmission grid, and what that grid will look like in the next 10 to15 years. Industry leaders will discuss how to prepare for upcoming changes in the structure of transmission companies, in the physical grid, and in the way transmission is planned and built.

“Transmission is literally and figuratively in the middle of all of the major questions facing the energy industry today. With unprecedented shifts in the generation fleet, an evolving Smart Grid, and demand side changes, ensuring that transmission is built in the right places at the right times is paramount,” says Ms. Lyons.
