Actress contributes one-of-a-kind dress to online auction benefitting Haiti
Online PR News – 23-March-2010 – – Milla Jovovich is one of many celebrities in the impressive cast of contributors of the currently active charity auction, Crafts For A Cause.
For her contribution, Ms. Jovovich hand wrote poetry on a white knit dress by designer Isabel Marant.
Her one-of-a-kind dress joins the long list of items up for bidding, including : original drawings by film director Spike Jonze, the Taylor guitar Grizzly Bear’s Ed Droste learned to play on (signed by him), a mini-piano decorated and signed by Maroon 5, autographed pointe ballet slippers worn by Natalie Portman in her upcoming Darron Aronofsky film “Black Swan,” and 2 pairs of Tegan and Sara’s signature shoes, decorated by the sisters.
The auction began Monday March 15 and continues through Saturday March 27.
All proceeds will go to Paul Haggis’s foundation, Artists For Peace and Justice, which will deliver 100% of funds directly to Father Rick Frechette’s efforts in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. Father Frechette has worked in the slums of the city for 22 years establishing an orphanage, medical clinics, schools and a pediatric hospital, which is the only free hospital serving the children of one of the largest slums in the western hemisphere.
