Largest maritime event expands to occupy two Halls
Online PR News – 22-March-2010 – – 22 March 2010, Singapore. Singapore Expo is once again the partner of choice for the biennial Asia Pacific Maritime (APM). To be held from 24 to 26 March at Singapore Expo, APM, in this 11th edition, has expanded, occupying both Halls 3 and 4, and is therefore poised to offer an even greater variety of solutions to meet the needs of the shipping and shipbuilding industries.
The three-day maritime industry event boasts not only the exhibition but also a series of business and technical conferences and seminars, where industry players have the convenience of purchasing, selling, networking, and being updated with the latest developments in maritime trade, all in a single venue.
No stranger to hosting large-scale industry trade shows, Singapore Expo looks forward to welcoming more than 7,000 trade visitors as the region gears up to meet the growing appetite for the latest technologies and maritime equipment.
The technical specifications of Singapore Expo’s Halls are well-aligned to APM’s objective of delivering a holistic business experience for maritime industry professionals, combining exhibition, conference, fringe activities and networking sessions, where delegates and exhibitors can network comfortably in and around the main exhibition area.
The high ceiling of the Halls allow the 800 exhibiting companies from 52 countries to set up tall exhibits and booths while the floor loading of 20 to 30KN per sqm cater to the heavy maritime equipment and machinery displays.
Says Mr Chandran Nair, Deputy General Manager of Singex Venues Pte Ltd, which manages Singapore Expo, “Asia Pacific Maritime has grown in size and representation since it was first held at Singapore Expo in 2004, featuring more national pavilions and participating companies from a larger number of countries. This is a reflection of the robustness of the maritime industry and the growing popularity of Singapore as a choice venue for maritime events. Singapore Expo is glad to be part of this development through the provision of a varied mix of business amenities including conference halls and meetings rooms for maritime professionals.”
