Close Reach Communications Competing Among Best in Blackberry Mobile Applications
Online PR News – 21-March-2010 – – Austin, Texas-based Close Reach Communications (CRC) has been selected as a semi-finalist in AT&T’s Fifth Annual 'Open Call - Apps For All!' Contest in the Blackberry/Java category to be held March 24, 2010 at the International CTIA WIRELESS® show in Las Vegas. At stake are exclusive marketing opportunities with AT&T and a cash prize. Ultimately, one winner in each of four categories will be awarded. In 2009, more than 100 wireless companies participated in the contest.
“I am thrilled at this opportunity to pitch the AttendeeTouch Mobile Conference Guide and Messaging Platform, which conference planners and event organizers have been using since 2007. It is a great honor to be selected to participate in this fast pitch contest and compete with peers who are among the best of the best in the Blackberry mobile applications industry,” said CRC President/CEO and developer Paul Carew.
Designed to identify the country’s most innovative wireless applications, the 'Open Call - Apps For All!' contest is an evolution of AT&T’s Fast-Pitch contest held at CTIA for the past four years. The International CTIA WIRELESS® show is the premier wireless event representing a $1 trillion global marketplace that brings together the wireless and converged communications, wireless broadband, mobile web computing and data industries.
CRC’s AttendeeTouch application enables event planners and attendees to communicate more efficiently and effectively through the use of mobile hand-held technology. The innovative messaging platform allows for two-way communication, targeted messaging, sponsor and exhibitor branding and messaging opportunities, and real-time survey and polling. The sortable and downloadable mobile conference guide reduces an event’s 'carbon footprint' and provides 'softer' scheduling deadlines than printing.
More and more conference-goers are recognizing the value of mobile services in enhancing their event experience. In a recent survey of CRC’s Mobile Conference Guide, more than 76% of conference attendees reported that they had used the optional mobile conference guide. In addition, more than 91% of these users said that they would look for and use a mobile conference guide again at a conference.
