Online PR News – 21-March-2010 – – Westlake Village, California – Thanks to the donation of one big-hearted company, Haiti’s earthquake survivors will soon see 25 boxes of clothing and food supplies. The employees of Cydcor came together and gathered up over 500 pounds worth of donations to send to Haiti to aid with relief efforts there.
Cydcor employees were moved by the tragedy and devastation left behind after the large earthquake. According to Vera Quinn, the Senior Vice President of Operations, many employees were touched by the plight of the Haitians and wanted to do something to help. Thanks to their outpouring of generosity, the company was able to collect 25 large boxes filled with clothing and shoes for men, women, and children, along with basic medical supplies to send to survivors by way of Haiti Gospel Mission.
Gathering up the supplies to send to Haiti was even easier thanks to the fact that one of Cydcor Offices’ employees, the operator of one of the independent sales offices, had previously worked with Haiti Gospel Mission. The charitable organization is based out of Despinos and has played an important role in relief efforts in the area. Thanks to these connections, Cydcor was able to facilitate the gathering and shipping of supplies.
Helping others in need is nothing new to Cydcor employees. The company strongly fosters a culture of community outreach and encourages employees to help out where they can. While employees often do charitable work in their own communities, they were more than willing to help those affected in Haiti as well.
The company is not planning on leaving Haiti with a one-time donation either. Cydcor has adopted Haiti Gospel Mission as part of its greater family, and it has plans to continue to provide support as the country rebuilds.
