Online PR News – 01-October-2012 – Albany, NY – Albany, NY, US, October 01, 2012 -- Young adult author, Angela Morrison, will present a free, live teleconference training, entitled “Get Them Talking: From Dialogue to Scene” on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 7:00 pm EST. The biggest mistake beginning writers make is page after page telling a story rather than showing a story in scenes. This presentation will demystify and simplify the concept of writing in scenes. Scene-writing gurus emphasize plot and how to further it with scenes that move characters from one emotional charge to another. In the early stages of a first draft when a writer is discovering his/her story, a more organic approach is essential. Angela Morrison will take writers, step-by-step, through the process of creating action-packed, emotion-rich scenes from rough draft dialogue.

A free, live webinar will also be offered by Angela Morrison, on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at 7:00 pm EST. The webinar is entitled, “Plot Challenged.” During this in-depth webinar, Angela will explain four major plotting strategies and what she found most useful in each. She will share examples from her own experience and favorite children's classics, review plotting craft books, and lead writers in a free-write to force them past their own plotting hang-ups.
