Through six generations, the Chevrolet Corvette has changed but the iconic brand kept its distinct styling.
Online PR News – 29-September-2012 – Okarche – Although the original XP-122 Motorama concept car and the 2013 Chevrolet Corvette have nearly nothing similar under the hood or even in body work, they both share a common connection as Corvettes. The XP-122 Motorama was the first Corvette design. In 2012, Corvette is celebrating sixty years of success with the 2013 Corvette 427 Collector Edition convertible.
“Every generation of Corvette has had a signature look, as the Corvette changed to reflect the high-performance technology and design of the times,” said Tom Peters, GM performance vehicle design director, “However, each generation of Corvette shares some common elements which create a consistent Corvette theme that is expensive, distinctly American, artful, and passionate.”
The popular Chevrolet brand has evolved through six distinct generations as an iconic American brand. The 2013 Corvette shares very little with the 1953 model, but they are both well-known Corvette styles. The Corvette has kept a few signature elements, although evolved through generations, with the same theme. The proportions have remained with a long front end and shorter tail end.
