Online PR News – 27-September-2012 – Noida, UP – In line with a few other MBA entrance tests, the first round of NMAT 2013 registration, which ended on September 25, has reported an increase of 20 per cent so far compared with the previous year. The late registration process of the examination started from September 26 and will continue till October 4.
“After the first round, we have reported a 20 per cent rise. We are likely to reach the expected increase of 35 per cent after the late registration ends on October 4,” said an NMIMS spokesperson.
On August 21, 2012, Dr Rajan Saxena, vice-chancellor of NMIMS Mumbai, told MBAUniverse.com, “As of August 20, the number of applications stood at 31,174. Compared with the year-ago period, we have reported an increase of about 35 per cent.” Last year, about 56,000 candidates registered for NMAT.
According to an NMIMS spokesperson, this is the last chance for candidates to register for NMAT 2013 and those who are yet to register must act fast.
On the trends in the registration process so far, Dr Saxena said a majority of applications have come from the northern and western parts of the country, followed by southern and eastern India. Most of the candidates belong to the engineering background.
The late registration fee is Rs 2,150 for the MBA or PGDM program and Rs 2,500 for both the full time MBA and PGDM programs. The test scheduling and rescheduling window will close on October 5 and December 17, respectively. Candidates are allowed to take two retests and the fee for each rescheduling is Rs 800. The rescheduling for examination is allowed from October 8 to December 17, 2012.
The registration process for NMAT 2013 began on July 11. The examination will be held from October 11 to December 19, 2012.
