Mama's Karma: New, members-only classified website for selling kids items
09/27/2012

MamasKarma.com is the place to buy and sell new or used kids stuff. It’s super easy to use, just create a free account and start listing. By selecting your state, the site will then display all available items in your area.

Online PR News – 27-September-2012 – Barrington, Rhode Island – Local mothers now have a national market to buy and sell childrens’ items, from strollers to bassinets according to the journalist who created MamasKarma.com.

“This is better than other sites that offer a ‘garage sale’ variety of stuff,” site creator Courtney Buteau says. “This is all kids’ items! So, you can pinpoint your sales and also find things you need without wasting time by sifting through things you don’t need.”

Buteau believes one of the “coolest features” on MamasKarma.com is you can put up to 8 photos in your listing. Users can also embed HTML video from YouTube or Flickr, etc.
“You don’t see that very often on other classified sites,” Buteau says, adding that her site will use social media as well to increase traffic and sales.

MamasKarma.com is members-only, but setting up an account is easy and free and takes a couple of minutes according to Buteau. Members also have the option of listing their merchandise in the Featured Category for a nominal fee.

“The featured setting will cost $5.00 for 20 days but your listing will get more eyes on it.”

Other listings will run for 20 days but Buteau says renewing is simple and members will receive an email when their listings are about to expire.

“I created this site after realizing I have all these great, children’s things that are just sitting around,” Buteau says. “I wanted a hyper-local place to sell them without getting my strollers and high chairs lost in the shuffle of a less focused website. I also love searching for bargains on a site that carries just what a mom’s looking for.”

MamasKarma.com is a national website, but can default to a specific state. Once the state is selected, items and listings will then be filtered to the chosen location.

“Once your listing is created, we’ll tweet it and post it to our Facebook page to attract more potential buyers to your listing. Can’t beat that!”

Buteau invites your questions and suggestions via email and she promises to respond as quickly as possible.
