The Conclave featured over 30 of the leading recruitment firms in India along with representatives from various colleges of engineering and management.
Commenting on the conclave, Mr. Shekhar Bhattacharjee, Founder SkillTree said, “This recruitment conclave by SkillTree has been created as a platform for knowledge sharing and thought provoking discussions around the best practices, modus operandi and identification of talents in the campus recruitment process.” He added “ through this initiative we intend to develop a strong interactive communication between recruiters from multiple industries and placement executives of participating colleges.”
The recruitment Conclave provided colleges and recruiters with a holistic view of campus engagement process between companies and colleges, highlighting innovative practices, insights and scenarios. Interactive sessions and expert discussions also provided and enhanced the learning experience for delegates.
The one-day conference started with a presentation by Mr. Rajul Garg, Director Sunstone Business School on the campus hiring challenges and highlighted the challenges faced during mass recruitment by large IT & ITES firms in India and the effective Communication process between colleges & corporate.
This was followed by a panel discussion that included Mr. Rajeev Agarwal, Director G.L. Bajaj Institute of Technology & Management, Mr. Sukanta Dey, President Delhi Management Association, Mr. Bharat Mehta, CHRO Triveni Engineering and Mr. Rajul Garg. The panel discussion dealt with identification of talent and the importance of identifying real talent as opposed to marks and academics. The discussion also highlighted the importance of Internship and the assessment tests conducted by corporates.
Speaking about the importance of such conferences, Mr. Rajeev Agarwal, Director G.L. The conclave concluded with a presentation by Shekhar on identifying the best talents from campus and the innovative processes used by Corporates. The presentation also addressed key concerns for Colleges and Institutions on how to identify the right recruiter and streamlining the communication process between them.
