Chrysler to award college scholarships through ‘Brain Quest Challenge’

Online PR News – 14-September-2012 – COLUMBUS, Mississippi – Carl Hogan Automotive reported this week that Chrysler Brand is joining forces with Brain Quest to award a $20,000 college scholarship, an additional $5,000 prize and 18 Apple iPad2 products to winners of the “Brain Quest Challenge.”

The year-long marketing campaign is a 100-city road tour that delivers exciting and educational events and programming along with fund-raising test drives. Brain Quest and the Chrysler Brand will travel across the country in three Town & Country minivans covered in the Brain Quest brand logos to high-profile book and science festivals, book and toy stores, and libraries and schools.

“This comprehensive initiative partners two leaders in their respective industries who will execute hundreds of fund-raising events for schools and students across the country, along with the opportunity to express our gratitude to teachers,” said Saad Chehab, President and CEO – Chrysler Brand, Chrysler Group LLC.

The “Brain Quest Challenge” is a fast-paced game show in which students flaunt their smarts by answering curriculum-based questions. There are also physical challenges involved like jump rope and hula-hoop. Winners and attendees will take home products from the Brain Quest line as well as other giveaways.

A select number of “Brain Quest Challenge” events will also feature the Chrysler “Drive 4 the Kids” fundraising initiative that pays schools $10 for each test drive of their vehicles. All proceeds go directly to the school. Test drive participants will be entered to win $45,000 toward the purchase of a new Chrysler Group vehicle. Other prizes with also be awarded.

“Together, Brain Quest and the Chrysler brand will award a $20,000 college scholarship to one lucky student and an additional $5,000 to the school who has earned the most test drives,” explained Chehab.

According to Chrysler’s press release, teachers will also be eligible to win prizes. “Brain Quest and the Chrysler Brand will select one teacher per month… to receive a $500 cash prize and $500 worth of Brain Quest products for their school. In addition, winners will also receive a special discount on any new Chrysler Group vehicle purchase. One grand prize winner will be selected out of the twelve recipients to receive a $5,000 cash prize, $1,000 worth of Brain Quest® products, and a “Brain Quest Challenge” event for their school.”
