Mark R. Hauser to Receive Honor from Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit

2012 Fred M. Butzel Memorial Award for Distinguished Community Service is given to individuals of the community whose leadership and devotion rise above all others.

Online PR News – 14-September-2012 – Southfield, Michigan – Mark Hauser, CFO and executive management committee member at Maddin, Hauser, Wartell, Roth & Heller, P.C., will be honored by the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit (Federation) with its 2012 Fred M. Butzel Memorial Award for Distinguished Community Service on Monday, September 24.

The organization’s highest honor, the annual award is given to individuals of the community whose leadership and devotion rise above all others. Past recipients include Max M. Fisher, William Davidson, and David and Doreen Hermelin.

“I am truly honored to receive such a prestigious award from the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit,” said Hauser. “After serving the community for more than 40 years, my hope is that future generations understand the importance of charitable giving and helping others.”

Hauser has served in numerous positions at organizations throughout southeast Michigan, including: past president of the United Jewish Foundation of Metropolitan Detroit, national vice chairman and member of the executive committee of United Jewish Communities and Federation’s Young Leadership Cabinet. He also has been involved with Oak Park Neighborhood Project, Jewish Community Center Applebaum Campus and Jewish – Senior Life.

Hauser, who resides in Bloomfield Hills, concentrates his law practice at Maddin Hauser in real estate, partnerships, finance, corporate and business law, taxation and estate planning. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan and his juris doctor, magna cum laude, from Wayne State University, where he served as editor of the Wayne Law Review.

He has been continuously selected by his peers to be listed in the "Best Lawyers in America," and also is listed in "Super Lawyers" and "Chambers USA."
