Popular Custom Hair Bow Boutique now offers adult chemo hats.
Online PR News – 13-March-2010 – – If The Bow Fits Boutique has a unique line of pediatric chemo boutique hats, which have become increasingly popular within her shop. The Bows Of Hope Chemo Boutique Hats, was created with the Owner Pam Genna's mother in law in mind.
Genna lost her mother in law in April of 2009 and since then has been creating Chemo Hats for pediatric cancer patients since then with a little help from her creative 6-year old daughter, Brianna. The Genna family has a foundation with Children's Memorial Hospital called The Johnny Genna Foundation, in memory of her children's Uncle Johnny Genna, who lost his battle with Liver Disease after a transplant in 1986.
"Helping children in need has always been important to our family," says Genna. "My children know the story and struggles their Uncle went through at the tender age of 4 and we all love to help in any way we can."
The boutiques Bows Of Hope Program donates proceeds from the chemo hats to the Johnny Genna Foundation a non profit 501 3(c) organization, which in return funds Doctors to train in Children's Liver Disease.
The chemo caps are crochet or cotton boutique style hats and work well for any little girl suffering from hair loss from any medical treatment. The boutique hats have become so popular, Genna has received an overwhelming amount of requests for adult cancer hats and has decided to expand her boutique line offering adult sizes in any hat she creates for kids.
"It's our hope and prayer that one day a cure for cancer and the many other illnesses that affect our family and friends will be found and eventually no one will be in need of a Bows of Hope hat, but until then we'll keep creating these special hats."
Genna says "We would like to thank all of our donors and our committee members of The Johnny Genna Foundation, without you, we would not be able to continue on with our mission to change a childs life."
