Online PR News – 23-August-2012 – MIAMI – Piano Music Center is pleased to announce the opening of its newest Florida location in Miami-Dade County. Located at 1430 South Dixie Highway, Suite 117, Piano Music Center is Yamaha's only authorized piano dealer in Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties and carries a large selection of exceptional new Yamaha grand pianos, consoles and uprights, award-winning Clavinova digital pianos and Yamaha Disklavier performance reproducing pianos. The new location joins another retail outlet in Pembroke Park, Florida.
A family owned and operated business, Piano Music Center combines years of music product and piano industry knowledge and exceptional customer service, to create the ideal atmosphere for selecting the best instrument to suit their customer’s particular needs and desires.
Beyond the company’s exceptional retail offerings in the areas of music and technology, the company recently earned the Gold Medal-Great Seal of the University of Miami for achieving a record $2,000,000 in contributions to the school. The company was also one of the founding members and sponsors of the Yamaha Concert Series at St. Martha’s Church in Miami, and has for years supported Barry University, Nova South Eastern University, The Alhambra Orchestra, The Music Club of Hollywood, The Miami Piano Circle and the Chopin Foundation.
According to Yamaha Keyboard Division National Sales Director Bob Heller, “Tony Siciliano leads a team of consummate professionals sure to enhance Miami’s music retail, philanthropic and cultural landscape. We wish them continued success.”
“With this new location, we seek to create an atmosphere that upholds the highest standards for management, sales, technical and moving service, as well as a vibrant, state-of-the-art showroom,” says Store Owner Tony Siciliano. “We will provide the best choice of pianos as well as the best education about them. Our primary goal is to ensure our customers are totally satisfied.”
The new store opening is the latest milestone in the varied musical career of store proprietor Tony Siciliano. In 1971, Siciliano signed a five-year Record Contract as a writer, artist and producer with Motown Records with his group Puzzle, which went on to record three albums for label. In 1976, he went on to do background work for such artists as Mac Davis, Rick Nelson, Lou Rawls and Olivia Newton-John. From 1979 to 1983, he was a staff musician for Burt Sugarman’s Midnight Special TV Show on NBC, followed by stint as a Record Producer in Los Angeles for the legendary pianist, Liberace.
In 1988, Tony began selling pianos. Tony consulted for Yamaha Corporation of America and started the College Loan Program throughout the United States. Tony acquired his first Piano Retail Store in July of 2001 and became a high-performing and award-winning retailer for Yamaha, leading him to write a Sales Manual that would be used by Yamaha Dealers nationwide.
The new Miami store manager, Mario Merdirossian, is an active concert pianist in his own right as well as a master class teacher and music lecturer. He looks forward to continuing to build on the solid foundation and reputation of the store and already has plans to introduce the store to the community through “The Piano Story,” a series of entertaining narrative concerts detailing the evolution of the piano since its invention 350-years ago, to the present.
