New Operations Director steels up Bigger Printing for success

He’s an ex-marine, he once built a 40-foot steel hull and he just happens to be The Bigger Printing Company’s new Operations Director. Welcome aboard, Stephen Smith.

Online PR News – 21-August-2012 – Cheltenham – Born in Northumberland but raised in Ireland, Stephen Smith is a force to be reckoned with. His education includes management and micro processing qualifications, while his work history takes him from marine radio officer right through to technical services engineering, quality & production management, and directing his own company. In short, there’s nothing he can’t do.

As Operations Director for Bigger Printing, Stephen will be injecting his versatile, sponge-like brain into all aspects of the Bigger Printing production process. Amongst other things he aims to streamline the production schedule to ensure faster turnarounds; improve handling of sales and purchase enquiries for a smoother customer experience; and, crucially, implement a certified quality management system to meet the requirements of ISO9001.

Stephen was drawn to Bigger Printing by the downright enthusiasm of the company’s Owner/Director, Sebastian Stanley, who he describes as ‘utterly focused and driven’. Having been forced to leave Ireland’s struggling economy, Stephen was delighted to rediscover the potential that has been missing from Ireland for so long.

Commenting on his decision to join the team, Stephen says: “When I was first introduced to Bigger Printing I realised I was looking at a company driven by an individual with passion and commitment. There was an excitement and enthusiasm that I hadn’t seen for quite a while in Ireland and I wanted to be a part of that.”

Seb is of course delighted to have such a dynamic individual on his team and in a pivotal role. He sees this as the start of a new chapter for Bigger Printing, where things will only get better – both for the company and their customers. Seb says: “Operations is number one for any successful business. We want to get it nailed and with Stephen we can.”
