Online PR News – 21-August-2012 – Rochester Hills, Michigan – The mission of the Chandler Education Foundation is to provide community support for excellence in education and promote life-long learning and responsible citizenship for Chandler Unified School District students through a variety of community funds and programs, including the IMPACT Chandler Scholars (ICS) Program, the Chandler CARE Center and the Student Crisis Fund. The IMPACT Chandler Scholars (ICS) Program, formerly known as the VISION: CollegeBound Scholars (VCB) program, is a recognition program for Chandler Unified School District high school students providing scholarship and financial aid opportunities for students who complete the program by demonstrating academic excellence, exemplary attendance, and a commitment to service in the community over four years of high school. Through the Chandler CARE Center, the Foundation provides free medical, dental, counseling, and social services and distributes needed food and clothing to Chandler area children as well as the people with whom they reside. The Foundationâ€™s Student Crisis Fund was established to provide assistance to students facing serious life altering illness or injuries. The golf tournament and fundraiser will once again be held at the Whirlwind Golf Club at Wild Horse Pass on Friday, September 7th, 2012.
