The University of London International Programmes has released the results of the May 2012 Final Examination for Diploma in Economics and Diploma in Social Sciences. Examinations are usually held world-wide at a number of centres

The University of London International Programmes has released the results of the May 2012 Final Examination for Diploma in Economics and Diploma in Social Sciences. Examinations are usually held world-wide at a number of centres (either through the local Ministry of Education or the British Council).

The marking standards for all courses worldwide are the same as for UK-based students of the University of London. The examiners will determine a numerical mark for each course attempted by a student and are given the following awards: Distinction (the highest), Merit (second highest) and Credit (3rd highest) and pass.

Several Western International Diploma students received award for achieving successful marks in the examination.

Aniisha Banou Kheeder (Accounting & Finance) and Lovedeep Kaur (Banking & Finance) were awarded Distinction, the highest award given to Diploma students.

Three more students achieved credit marks namely: Saira Seetharam (Business); Khalil Khainat Bhutta – (Business); Ayub Khan (Economics)

Prof. Chacko, Head of Academic Affairs for the UoL Programmes, congratulated all Diploma students who passed and cleared their papers. He was particularly pleased with the 100% passing rate for Statistics 2, which according to Mrs. Rosemary Gosling (former Director of LSE International Programmes), who was impressed with the result, was a difficult paper.

Mr. Raj Nambiar, Director of Western International College said “The result was an excellent manifestation of the quality of students admitted to the programme and the outstanding performance of faculty”. He continues, “Western International College is constantly making concerted effort to continuously provide the quality education that we are promising”.

Western International College is an Affiliate Centre of the University of London International Programmes, offering Diploma in Economics/Diploma in Social Sciences and 3-year Degree Courses on Business, Finance, Economics and Information Systems Management.
