Mississauga Etobicoke Storage, the premier Greater Toronto Storage Facility, is holding a Storage Auction on August 29th, 2012 at 10 AM. The facility is located at 2545 Summerville Court, Mississauga, ON
Online PR News – 17-August-2012 – Mississauga, Ontario – There will be between 10 and 14 storage units up for sale and the contents will be awarded to the highest bidder.
“We have had great success in previous storage auctions” says Mississauga Etobicoke Storage General Manager Don Bannister. “We keep the over locks on the units at auction to preserve the integrity of the goods inside. Then, just before the auction, we cut the locks and allow all prospective bidders to view the contents of the storage unit from outside the doorway. This ensures that the items have not been touched before the auction and all people are bidding on a level playing field.”
“Previous auctions have included valuable antiques, lawn items and expensive car parts. You really don’t know what you get until the auction is over,” Bannister adds, “it’s really quite exciting.”
More and more self storage facilities are using the storage unit auction business model to make extra money, clear out storage units, and publicize their business. Abandoned personal storage units are a common occurrence at self storage facilities. Customers will leave town, abandon their storage unit, or simply neglect to pay their bill. In order to make up for lost revenue, self storage facilities sell the units in auctions that are open to the general public.
Mississauga Etobicoke Storage holds auctions on a regular basis and can be reached by phone: 905-272-1888 or at their website: www.mississaugaetobicokestorage.com for more information on this exciting event.
