Online PR News – 11-March-2010 – – As a company that creates 3D virtual characters, Infinite Realities often need models to base their characters on. After switching to Models from another modelling agency, founder of the company, Lee, has turned to them five times over the last two weeks looking for men and women to pose for him.
Infinite Realities’ realistic characters are created for use in games and films for clients across the world. The process for this starts off with using real people who are photographed with a number of cameras from different angles. These are then developed into a three-dimensional image on the computer.
This proved to be a different and interesting assignment for Models Direct models and they all had a great time. The models were simply asked to sit and pull different facial expressions and then watch as they were transformed into their own 3D character. The end results will then be used by Infinite Realities’ client.
Models Direct asked the models how they got on. “Lee basically just took shots of my head with different facial expressions,” Alice informed the agency. “I really enjoyed it, it was easier than I thought and he was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. I didn’t feel stupid even though I was pulling the weirdest facial expressions! It was really fun and I would love to do it again.”
Another model, Samantha, described the job as a “fun and different assignment”. “I really enjoyed my assignment,” she continues. “I was asked to pull different expressions so the designer could use them to make a digital version of me. I particularly enjoyed seeing a snapshot of what I could look like in the digital world!”
It wasn’t just the models who felt the assignment was a success; Lee also gave Models Direct some great feedback. He reported that the service couldn’t have been better – or quicker. “Tremendous!” Lee exclaimed. “All models were on time and Lisa at Models Direct was superb in organising the whole thing. Nothing to improve on.”
