Online PR News – 02-August-2012 – Okarche, OK – J.D. Power and Associates’ Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study ranked the 2012 Chevrolet Avalanche as the best large pickup. Chevrolet received the highest number of segment awards of all brands this year.
J.D. Power and Associates’ APEAL Study examines consumer’s responses to their new vehicles after 90 days of ownership, basing comments into eight categories: engine/transmission; ride, handling and braking; comfort/convenience; seats; cockpit/instrument panel; heating, ventilation and cooling; sound system; and styling/exterior.
It’s not surprising the 2012 Chevrolet Avalanche earned best in its segment. The Avalanche won consumers’ highest possible ratings in comfort, style, overall design quality, and features/instrument panel. With 45.5 cubic feet of cargo volume, 5,100 lbs of max towing, and a standard V8 engine, Kelley Blue Book ranked the Chevy Avalanche 9.3 on a selective 10-point scale.
Two other Chevrolet models won the top spot in their segments: the 2012 Sonic and Volt in best sub compact car and compact car, respectively. All of the Chevrolet APEAL top picks are available at Carter Chevrolet.
