Online PR News – 04-March-2010 – – Calling it “Great progress”, Tim McGuiness, has seen his BMI move from over 40, the threshold for morbid obesity to under 40 in his second month on the Medifast diet program. According to McGuiness it's an indication that his very low calorie diet strategy is working.

“Since starting Medifast on January 6th, I've lost 39 pounds in less than two months and it's has been painless ”
"It's easier when you have limited decisions to make” McGuiness explained “Since five of my six meals a day are pre-packaged, I don't worry if I've eaten too much or too little. And eating so many small meals stops me from feeling hungry”

McGuiness is documenting his progress on the Medifast diet program on his blog, http://www.verylowcaloriediet.net/. His long term goal is to lose over 100 pounds and successfully transition from Medifast to a healthy diet. He expects it will take almost all of 2010.

“Besides lowering my BMI, I feel great.” McGuiness reported. “I've been exercising once a week with weights and I walk every day. I can't believe how much more energy I have.” His next goal is to get his BMI under 30 and move from the obese category to the overweight category.
