Online PR News – 03-July-2012 – Delhi – In the recently conducted General Council Meeting of Delhi Basketball Association (DBA) on 1st July, 2012, Roopam Harish Sharma (CEO of Basketball Federation of India) was elected as Honorary Secretary General along with Dr. D.R. Saini (Prinicpal, D.P.S. R.K. Puram) re-elected as President of the Association for the term 2012-2016. In addition to this, Mr. Devinder Singh was elected as Senior Vice President and Mr. Ashok Rangeen as Treasurer for the following term.
While most Vice Presidents from the previous term were re-elected, Shakti Singh (Royal Club), VP Niroola (Montfort School) and Rajesh Kumar (Modern School (B.K.) gathered majority votes, along with Seema Singh (IP College) unopposed as Joint Secretaries of Delhi Basketball Associations.

President - Dr. DR Saini (Principal, DPS, RKP)
Sr. Vice President - Devinder Singh
Vice Presidents - Amita Rana (Miranda House); Mukesh Kohli; Rajan Manchanda; Capt. Srikant Sharma (Oxford school); Anuradha Amos (St. Thomas School); Pradeep Kapoor
9 Executive Members - Likes of Kirori Mal College, Air Force Bal Bharti, Five Star Club, MTNL Club, etc were elected as executive members of the Delhi Basketball Association.
The meeting was conducted in a smooth and fair manner by Returning Officer- Umesh Sood and was observed by Mr. Raj Kumar (Delhi Olympic Association) and Mr. Teja Singh - Vice President of Basketball Federation of India.
Ms. Sharma added that "The additional responsibilities conferred on me by the DBA, it will be my duty to work with the utmost sincerity and dedication to bring in positive initiatives to promote basketball in Delhi.”
