in Michigan, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility, is seeking additional certification to improve the quality of their services and clients stay. To this end they have started working with the nationally recognized Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) who focuses on quality and results.
Narconon Freedom Center, located on 10 acres in the city of Albion, opened its doors in 2002 to help those struggling with substance abuse across the northern United States. Over the past year the center doubled their number intakes and is now treating over 100 clients in its residential facility.
Working with the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF - http://www.carf.org) will result in additional accreditation for their treatment program. CARF is an independent, non-profit organization that specializes in accrediting health and human service organizations across the country. Their mission is to “promote the quality, value and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served. The organization does accreditation for not only drug rehabilitation programs but retirement organizations, and home and community services that deal with the health and well-being of those being served.
This week Narconon Freedom Center staff attended a CARF conference in Las Vegas to learn more about the accreditation process in an effort to continuously follow a standard set of policies that will help increase the quality of their program.
According to Narconon Freedom Center's Senior Director of Expansion Nicholas Thiel, "As we continue to grow at our Albion, Michigan, facility, the CARF Accreditation is extremely important to us. These CARF policies will work as a checks and balance system for all technical and administration actions ensuring that our focus remains on the people being served in our program, our community, and the non-profit sector."
The Narconon Freedom Center alcohol and drug rehab program is a unique, multi-faceted series of steps featuring one of the nation’s only drug-free withdrawal steps. This step is followed by The Narconon New Life Detoxification that gets residual drug toxins out of the person’s body helping to handle cravings. These steps are followed with a series of classes to help the individual discover the reason they became addicted to drugs in the first place and to provide them with the tools they need to live a drug-free productive life. The program boasts a 70% success rate.
