KSL Media Eyes Expansion in 2012 with 18 New Hires Nationwide

Online PR News – 15-June-2012 – New York, NY and Los Angeles, CA – KSL Media, the second largest independent media services agency in the U.S., has announced a number of senior executive hires with some of the leading talent in the media industry to support recent new business wins and ongoing organic growth in the first half of 2012.

Most recently, KSL Media hired David Castle and Larry Most as Regional VPs of Business Development.Earlier, Mark Geller joined KSL Media as SVP/Managing Director, and Tom Meyer took over the role as the agency's Director of Media Research. Additionally, KSL has added 18 new hires at various levels to service expanded business from clients including Toshiba, Guitar Center and UGG Australia, as well as recent business wins that include First Tennessee Bank, Hard Rock Hotel, PetSmart, and Roche Diagnostics.

David Castle joined KSL's Los Angeles office as Vice President of Business Development. He is primarily responsible for the expansion of the agency's client base in the Southwest and Northwest region of the U.S. Prior to joining KSL Media, David owned Castle Advertising, an award-winning agency based in San Diego since 1987. He has worked with clients across all platforms and his agency was a leader in the education space working with over 25 universities. He sold the firm in 2011 after the firm completed its 50th year in business. David spent the first part of his career working in the marketing department of GM Parts (i.e. Mr. Goodwrench). He is a two-time San Diego Ad Club president and received the American Advertising Silver Medal for his contributions to AAF. He was also awarded the Wish Maker of the Year award from the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Larry Most joined KSL's Miami office as Vice President of Business Development. He is primarily responsible for the expansion of the agency's client base in the Southeast region of the U.S. Previously, he held high-level positions in broadcasting, most recently serving as Director of Advertising and Sales at Fox Cable Networks. Prior to that, Larry Most was General Sales Manager for CBS in West Palm Beach, overseeing three TV stations and growing local revenue by 15% even in the wake of declining ratings. As sales manager at WPLG-TV in Miami, he oversaw Fortune 500 accounts and initiated innovative multi-channel marketing programs including digital, news integration, event programming and sports integration.

Mark Geller, SVP/Managing Director,holds a leadership position on PetSmart, a recent KSL Media business win from Starcom. Previously, he led Geller Media, a media consultancy specializing in the entertainment industry. AsEVP Media & Promotions for Paramount Vantage, he was responsible for media planning, buying and promotions for theatrical releases such as An Inconvenient Truth, Into The Wild, The Kite Runner,and There Will Be Blood. Prior to that, Geller wasVP - Media & Promotions for Fox Searchlight Pictures, where he oversaw media planning, buying and national promotions for Bend It Like Beckham, 28 Days Later, Napoleon Dynamite, Sideways, and Little Miss Sunshine.Geller also held positions as VP/Group Media Director at GSD&M and Director of Media Servicesat SBC. Earlier in his career, he worked at Ketchum Advertising, ChiatDay, Wieden + Kennedy, and Media DDB Needham.

Tom Meyer, recently joined KSL as the agency's Director of Media Research to strengthen its market research capabilities and improve the tools used to create consumer centric media solutions for its clients. Previously, he was at Horizon Media, where he served as VP of Channel Insights and was a key resource on proprietary tools, emerging communication channels and new uses for traditional channels.
Prior to that, Meyer was VP - Associate Research Director overseeing all research at Carat USA, Los Angeles. He served multifaceted roles at the agency, providing insights for key brands including Adidas, Hyundai, Kia, Jenny Craig and Red Bull.
