“Stay Clutch” Challenge: Bringing Back the Manual Transmission
06/18/2012

With the arrival of the 2012 Sonic, Chevrolet is proud to offer more manual transmission vehicles to consumers.

Online PR News – 18-June-2012 – Riverside, CA – This month Chevrolet announced the “Stay Clutch” challenge to rekindle the once burning flame for manual transmission vehicles. The challenge is in alignment with the addition of the 2012 Chevy Sonic, which is an ideal vehicle for learning how to drive with a manual transmission.

Targeted towards novice manual transmissions drivers, the “Stay Clutch” challenge allows participants to compete to win four grand prizes that include:

• A class at Kansas City’s Stay Clutch driving school taught by a celebrity instructor
• 2012 State Farm Home Run Derby tickets
• MLB All-Star Game tickets

Those interested in competing should visit the Chevrolet Sonic Facebook page and click on the “Stay Clutch” tab. From there, participants will complete a short list of tasks and create a video on why they want to drive a stick and “Stay Clutch”.
Singh Chevrolet offers the 2012 Sonic that delivers an EPA-estimated 40 mpg on the highway. The Sonic also is built with 138 horsepower with a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine. Manual transmissions offer the best fuel economy—which is an important factor with the increasing fuel prices.
