Online PR News – 13-June-2012 – Seattle, WA – The SASH Program recently hosted their 7th Annual Spring Luncheon at Aljoya Thornton Place, an Era Living Retirement Community in Seattle, WA. The luncheon, attended by over 100 elder care providers, raised over $2,000 for Senior Services Meals on Wheels program, a service that delivers thousands of meals each week to homebound seniors in need. The benefit event was an opportunity for the local elder care community to connect, and also to strengthen the network of elder care professionals in the greater Puget Sound, WA area.
SASH was founded in 2005 by Rebecca Bomann, a real estate professional with a background in social work. Ms. Bomann had helped her Grandfather with his own stressful and drawn-out home sale, and was frustrated by the experience. She thought there should be a less stressful and more dignified way for seniors to sell their homes, and so she started The SASH Program.
Since its founding, The SASH Program has focused exclusively on providing private, custom-designed home sales for seniors and their families. In keeping with this vision, SASH is launching an entire family of new services in the summer of 2012. These additional service offerings will allow SASH to assist seniors with a variety of needs, on any budget, through their home sale.
"We were thrilled to host our 7th Annual Spring Luncheon at Aljoya Thornton Place," said Ms. Bomann, CEO of SASH. "Our event celebrated the dedication and passion that elder care providers have for their senior clients, and how they go the extra mile for them every day. Seattle has an extraordinary community of elder care providers, and SASH was honored to host an event bringing them together while supporting the very deserving Meals on Wheels program."
The SASH Program began its philanthropic work even before their first dollar of revenue had been made. Each year, SASH has hosted events to raise money for non-profit organizations that serve seniors, including The Plymouth Housing Group, Elder’s Last Wish, The Central Area Senior Center, and Senior Services. Since 2005, The SASH Program has hosted over 300 events for the elder care community, including seven annual luncheons.
Regarding the SASH Luncheon, Denise Klein, CEO of Senior Services of King County said, "Thanks to The SASH Program for raising over $2,000 for Senior Services at this year’s Spring Luncheon. We are truly appreciative for such generous support! This gift will greatly assist our Meals on Wheels program, and help us to deliver many more nutritious meals to local homebound seniors."
Victoria VandeGriend, Marketing Director of Edmonds Landing, and luncheon attendee noted, "The annual SASH Spring Luncheon was a great success; an efficiently run networking event with a large variety of senior care providers present. It certainly had the heart and compassion that embodies SASH, and I am grateful to have been in attendance."
The SASH Program has served senior homeowners exclusively since 2005 by providing home sale services custom-designed around seniors and their families specific needs. In keeping with this vision, SASH is launching an entire family of new services in the summer of 2012, which will allow them to assist seniors with a variety of needs, on any budget, through their home sale. SASH’s standards of senior care have earned the company an A+ Rating with the BBB.
