Blakeney uses the finest ingredients, such as vanilla extracts from Madagascar, hazelnut, pistachios and caramel from Italy and mangos from India—all blended with rich dairy to bring out the finest flavors. He employs a no-air process that makes his gelato and sorbet pints heavier than a pint of traditional ice cream.
The Latest Scoop gelatos and sorbet pints are now available in eight flavors at Nugget Markets’ nine full-service grocery stores that serve the Greater Sacramento community. The stores carry Mexican Chocolate, Peaches & Cream, Caramel Balsamic and Peanut Butter Chocolate gelatos and Ginger Pear, Blackberry Cabernet, Blueberry Pinot Noir and Watermelon sorbets.
Vanilla Bean, Pumpkin, Chocolate, Coffee Dutch Almond and Vanilla Dutch Almond Figaro Organic Gelato pints and Raspberry and Blackberry Figaro Organic Sorbet pints are sold at Berkeley Bowl and Chow Restaurant and Bar.
